The law relating to data protection changed in May 2018 when the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force.

 

As the data controller for GRACEINYOGA, Grace Bermudez-Norman is responsible to inform you on how she collects and handle your personal data.

 

HOW DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION

  • Enquiries from non-customers – message, name, email address and telephone number – received via our website, by email or over the phone – held for up to a year, and used to answer query and follow up.
  • Bookings made on our website –Those are deleted as soon as the appointment time has passed.
  • Mailing list – name, email address – populated by people making enquiries through a contact form on our website and by past and current clients.
  • Health and registration forms from students – name, contact details and health information – completed in class – used for class management, and held for at least seven years for insurance purposes.
  • Notes on classes and sessions – Data collected in class – used for class management, and held for at least seven years for insurance purposes.
  • Emails – sent from clients and non-clients. Important messages are saved in our filing system, otherwise emails are retained for up to two years.
  • Payment data, excluding card information which we do not receive at any time – Received via Paypal and saved for at least seven years for accounting and tax obligations.
  • Please note that GRACEINYOGA does not provide yoga instruction for anyone under the age of 18.
  • Cookies set automatically by our software – Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site. You can choose to accept or decline cookies although disabling essential cookies will likely affect the usability of the site. WHERE TO FIND INFORMATION ABOUT CONTROLLING COOKIES ON YOUR BROWSERS

 

  • Except where required by law, we do not share data with third parties or sell contact lists.
  • Information held by GRACEINYOGA is accessed by Grace Bermudez-Norman only: Information is not shared with anyone else. Contact lists are not sold. Information is collected and stored for the sole purpose of providing yoga tuition and managing its schedule.
